Most people ignore this. But when you address it, it changes EVERYTHING.
That's not an exaggeration, guys. Let's talk about how to heal from generational wounds.
It’s another MONDAY, friends! 👋
And we hope that you’re READY for a really. good. week!! 🥳
Why is that?
Because for some people, we really believe that today’s episode can truly be a game-changer.
Do you ever get frustrated at some things that KEEP coming up… like negative thought patterns, trigger points, fears, anxieties, or insecurities?
They can feel like annoying bugs that you try to swat at, but they end up flying away… but you just know they’ll come back eventually.
Whether you grew up in a household with a lot of fighting, addiction, co-dependency, trauma, neglect, or abuse - or maybe you're not even sure what exactly shaped your past...
One thing is for sure:
By default, we ALL carry baggage and wounds from our past.
nd if left unaddressed (which MOST people do), they HOLD US BACK from living from a place of TRUE peace and freedom - whether we realize it or not.
😳
So that begs the big question…
How do we find healing? Is it even possible? (Most people have NO clue.)
And on top of that, how do we set healthy BOUNDARIES with loved ones and family members to safeguard our mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being?
✨ Episode 7 is OUT NOW ✨
How to Heal From Generational Wounds & Set Healthy Boundaries
with Bonnie Kim, M.Ed, Co-Founder of Royal Telos Coaching
💬 Join us for this conversation with our good friend and certified coach, Bonnie Kim, as we unpack:
Bonnie's personal backstory, and how God led Bonnie to where she is today (Spoiler alert: Alex was actually a big part of it!)
An eye-opening excavation on generational wounds and how they impact our lives
Practical steps on how to identify your own generational wounds and understand how they're affecting you
Deep wounds vs. annoyances
Bonnie’s powerful testimony / example about her difficult relationship with her dad
Cultural nuances for inner wounds and healing (e.g. for fellow Asian Americans)
Taking the space you need to heal
Denying yourself like Jesus vs. unhealthy self-neglect
Setting boundaries with family members (or others) to break unhealthy cycles (e.g. co-dependency)
Bonnie's testimony / example about setting boundaries with her mom
3 Practical keys on how to overcome recurring fears
A practical step to bring you closer to freedom this coming week!
…and more.
(HIGHLY recommend setting aside 10-20 minutes this week to go through the Reflect & Apply Guide. Trust us… it’s worth it!!)
We feel compelled to re-iterate that (as with ALL of our episodes), we are by no means perfect in all of this.
BUT, we are so deeply grateful for Bonnie and the many people/resources God has placed in our lives that have helped us SO much in navigating through areas like these.
And that’s what makes us so passionate about sharing lessons learned and helpful tools we’ve gleaned from them…
BECAUSE we continually experience first-hand how our whole lives transform for the better… when we choose to imperfectly, yet courageously, dig beneath the surface.
We genuinely hope that our personal stories of struggle and healing, as well as practical keys and tips, will help propel you to live out of a place of powerful healing, freedom, authenticity, and deep peace that God desires for you! 🤍
Also, a mini-testimony:
I (Grace) was personally SO ministered to in the process of post-production…
Re-listening to the conversation literally gave me the exact wisdom and courage to communicate boundaries with someone in a situation that I felt conflicted about last week!
(Which has historically been super difficult for me to do, as a recovering people-pleaser. And we also share more personally about that in the episode… 😉 )
The timing could not have been more perfect. Sooo if anything… I’m grateful God used this episode to minister to ME. Lol! 🥲 🙏
👉️ We’d love to hear what you think in the YouTube comments!
⭐️ NOTE: Remember, when you comment / share on social media, you’re helping others in ways you can’t even see! 💗 (And it makes our days!! 🥹)
We love you guys so much.
And we hope this blesses you!
